After having excellent success with the techniques from other soap books (see Susan Cavitch Miller for example) I was disappointed with the results from this book - 2 things stood out as poor ideas: 1. adding water to dry lye to make the lye solution - EVERY other book or internet site I consulted said add the lye TO the water. 2. Rebatching (a technique extolled by this author) did not produce a superior product and was not easy at all to do. I made 2 recipes (Plain White and Olive) which produced fine soap but as the purpose was to rebatch them, I ended up with a product that was not better after wasting time and getting frustrated. My advice is to try a small portion of the recipe to see if you like it before committing to a whole batch.
